On Wednesday, the NFL released the 2012 preseason schedule for all 32 teams. The Seattle Seahawks missed out on Peyton Manning, but they landed the next-best free agent quarterback in this year’s class – Matt Flynn. He’ll make Seattle a Wild Card contender in 2012.

Here’s a look at the Seahawks’ 2012 preseason schedule:

Week 1: Tennessee Titans

Week 2: at Denver Broncos

Week 3: at Kansas City Chiefs

Week 4: Oakland Raiders

These games don’t mean as much as the regular season because most teams tend to only play their starters for the first half at the most.

Really and truly, Flynn will make Seattle’s offense worlds better. Tarvaris Jackson just isn’t a suitable starting NFL quarterback and the Seahawks have talent that can be utilized.

Seattle has talent on defense, too; the Seahawks finished in the top 10 among NFL defenses in yards allowed in 2011. That unit will be solid again in 2012 and with Flynn manning the offense, Seattle just might make some noise come playoff time.
