Now that Manu Ginobili is going to be out a few weeks with a broken hand, an immediate questions comes up for the Spurs. Who is going to provide the offense? San Antonio has been able to put up decent offensive numbers, but Ginobili was a key part in that. His sweet shot was keeping San Antonio afloat at times.

First and foremost, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker are going to have to step their game up. Though I do not expect Duncan to be anywhere near his productivity during his prime, he needs to put up 15 points in his 25 minutes of work, or 17 in 30. Tony Parker is going to have to average somewhere around 20 points. Richard Jefferson must also step his game up; these inconstant scoring nights are not going to cut it.

Many Spurs are going to get their chances to step up and show it. Daniel Green, TJ Ford, James Anderson, Kawhi Leonard, and maybe even Cory Joseph. When given this opportunity, these boys must score. The Spurs have been put into a big hole, and this is not a long season. Ginobili’s absence is going to hurt this team a lot.

Perhaps San Antonio will make a trade to bolster this lineup, as something must be done. When Gary Neal does return, that should help. But until then, let’s hope San Antonio starts playing championship level defense.
