Premier Legaue: Manchester City’s Masterful Performance Dooms Nowich City
The Premier League brought us an expected three points for a Manchester City side that was absolutely dominant and determined at home against a Norwich City side who is still probably figuring out what it is that hit them. The game was basically pretty for one team and absolutely horrific for the other. The score? Read on to find out.
City played their same style — possession, running, backing one another up on and off the ball, running back to defend, and patiently building and shooting whenever an opening is found. The team finally used all of their wealth and power on the field through the players to prove that the wide gap of talent they have over their opponents was not just on paper.
Coach Manuel Pellegrini is a manager that enjoys possession and an overall control of the game. This is something that City has truly struggled to maintain throughout the majority of their games. In fact, they actually lost and tied some games where they had failed to play in that very way.
Well, today was certainly a different story.
Folks, we have all witnessed this City side play some pretty soccer, but the amount of goals that they scored to put the icing on the cake was seemingly never enough for a team of their caliber. Today, they managed to put a whopping seven past the visiting keeper in the phenomenal and thrilling 7-0 victory.
That is right folks, 7-0.
This is a game that the players, coach and City faithful will not want to soon forget. In addition, it was the perfect way to build up confidence ahead of next week’s Champions League home clash against CSKA Moscow, who they already defeated 2-1 on the road a couple of weeks back. The game will not be easy, but they are expected to put at least three past the Russians.
With this type of performance from today, they are still one of the favorites to lift the Premier League title.
