St. Louis, Mo – Former head coach of the Tennessee Titans, Jeff Fisher, is all set to become the next field general of the St. Louis Rams, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch’s Jim Thomas.

Fisher had a record of 142-120 for a winning percentage of .542 during a 17 year career with the Titans.  His sole AFC Championship came during the 1998-1999.  Fisher’s squad went on to lose to the Ram’s 23-16 on the last down of Super Bowl XXXIV.

The newly appointed Ram’s coach has only seen two years of winning football in his past seven seasons in Tennessee; Fisher did lead Titans Nation to four division championships and a total of six playoff appearances during his tenure.

Fisher will replace Steve Spagnuolo who was relieved of his duties on January 2 after posting a 10-38 record during three years with the Rams.  Fisher’s career winning percentage is a full .334 points higher than the former coach of the Rams.

The St. Louis Rams are still searching for a new general manager to replace Billy Devaney.
