Vancouver Canucks acquire Sami Pahlsson
The Vancouver Canucks have acquired Sami Pahlsson from the Columbus Blue Jackets for Taylor Ellington and a pair of 4th round draft picks. Pahlsson had 11 points in 61 with the Blue Jackets this season. Pahlsson, 34, will be playing with fellow Swedes in Daniel and Henrik Sedin. “I guess it’s nice; it’s been a tough run for us (in Columbus) and I just hope I have some good game left,” Pahlsson told TSN. “I hope I do; don’t see any reason why I couldn’t do it again.” Pahlsson started his NHL career with the Bruins in 2000. Pahlsson knows how winning is like. He was on the Swedish Olympic team in 2006 and he won the Stanley Cup with Anaheim in 2007. He was also a finalist for the Selka Trophy in 2007. Pahlsson is a player who can kill penalites and win faceoffs.
