It appears Jason Collins started a trend. Less than four months after the former NBA player came out as gay, WWE star Darren Young did the same in an impromptu interview with TMZ that has sent the wrestling world into a frenzy.
The celebrity stalker company found Young at LAX airport and asked him whether a gay wrestler could succeed in WWE. The New Jersey native laughed and made the improv announcement right there on the spot. Needless to say, the internet almost caught on fire.
Because of all the physical contact and the lack of clothing, many wrestlers have been rumored as gay for quite some time but Young is the first one to officially come out. Reigning WWE champ John Cena has already expressed his support for Young, which has led many to believe more wrestlers could come out very soon.
