The Washington Redskins tendered Kory Lichtensteiger and Graham Gano, Friday. Redskins kicker, Gano was extended a exclusive-rights tender, where he’ll receive $540,000 if he makes the 53 man roster. With exclusive-rights, Gano is not able to negotiate with another club.

Gano, 25, is recovering from two fractured bones in his back, however, will be ready for the start of OTA’s. With a 75.6% conversion rate and completing 31 out of 41 field goals (5 blocked), the Redskins will hope to see continued improvement from the younger kicker.

Kory Lichtensteiger, 26, signed a 1-year tender as a restricted free agent and will make $1.2 million next season. Washington tendered Kory at his original draft round (4th). Therefore, other teams would have to surrender a 4th round pick if they wish to sign Kory.

The left guard received a raving review from Mike Shanahan last year, calling Kory the best run blocking linemen on the team. Kory was playing at maybe the highest level of his career last season before his unfortunate season ending injury. Though he’s still rehabbing, Kory is expected to be ready for the start of Training Camp.

With the March 5th deadline quickly approaching, London Fletcher and Adam Carriker are two notable players yet to be resigned. Laron Landry is another, however, it’s a possibility Washington lets him test the Free Agent mark with the uncertainty of his health.
