NCAA Tournament Sweet 16: Marquette vs. Florida Preview
Jeff Hanisch-US PRESSWIRE

Game:  (3) Marquette – (7) Florida 3/22 10:17 PM ET

Bracket:  West Region

Game Analysis:  Marquette is playing sensational right now.  They have coasted past their competition and are being lead by Jae Crowder and Darius Johnson Odom, who have combined for 74 of the team’s 150 points in the last two games.  The duo has been absolutely impossible to control for opposing teams and will test Florida early and often.  The Gators rely on a three-guard set that features Kenny Boynton and Bradley Beal, who are combining for over 30 points a contest.  Florida may not be the best interior team, but they know how to score at over 76 points a game.

Matchup to Watch:  G Darius Johnson Odom, Marquette vs. G Bradley Beal, Florida – “DoJo” will have another tough matchup this game with Florida’s freshman sensation, Bradley Beal looking across at him.  Johnson Odom is an extremely strong perimeter shooter, but Beal has very long arms and it helps him contest every shot.  This matchup will be very intriguing and more than anything will account for a handful of baskets.

Prediction:  Marquette 78 – Florida 73
