Stephanie Lewark

Featured Pittsburgh Penguins Columnist

Stephanie Lewark resides in Johnstown, PA where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown (UPJ) and is still, perhaps perpetually, in the process of deciding what career she would like to pursue with it. While at UPJ, Stephanie worked part-time in the federal government as a “Stay-in-School” employee. Luckily, she was hired full-time on a permanent basis and worked towards a few promotions to fill her current position as a Senior Case Technician (while continuing to decide what she would like to do with her degree). She fell in love with the city of Pittsburgh at a very young age and has followed the Steelers and been a die-hard Penguins fan for just about as long. Stephanie learned early on in her marriage that her husband can tolerate only so much Penguins / hockey talk, so she began her original blog, The Steel City Sports Fan (Penguins Edition) from which her love of hockey became entangled with a new love of writing about it and her favorite team, the Pittsburgh Penguins. Since then she has grown as a fan (become a Penguins Season-Ticket Holder) and a writer / blogger through several outlets with a short-stint writing for The Hockey Writers and a current contributing writer for Inside Hockey (in addition to writing for the FanAttic Network with Steel City on Ice which migrated to RantSports in January 2012).
