Video: Wagner’s Josh Thompson Dunks Over Mom During Midnight Madness
Midnight Madness is one of the best traditions in all of sports as it’s the perfect way to kick off the college basketball season each year. As part of the celebration, Wagner College held a Slam Dunk Contest for their fans to watch and now–one player is making national headlines for an impressive dunk pulled off after jumping over his mother.
The video above shows Wagner junior forward Josh Thompson jumping over his mother to pull off the impressive dunk that ended up winning the contest. Since then, Thompson’s dunk has made him quite the popular topic as the video has gone viral and appeared on numerous big-name sites such as ESPN, CNN, and Yahoo!
In fact, Thompson’s video has become so popular, it was listed at No. 1 on Tuesday’s top plays during Sportscenter–which is pretty impressive. No better way for Thompson to get the fans at Wagner fired up about the start of basketball season than showing off his dunking skills by jumping over his own mother–which she was brave for letting him do.
