According to Jonathan Wall of Yahoo! Sports, the 15-year-old Prindle has spent the last five years battling the disease and was forced to give up playing football and soccer when he arrived to high school–mainly because it would be too painful for his body to handle. It may not seem like it, but the argument can be made that cross country is one of the most toughest sports to participate in because of the type of commitment that has to be made to the amount of training and running behind it. To see a kid like Prindle run on a daily basis and fight through the pain of the disease so he can continue participating in sports is nothing short of inspirational.
