I’m going to go ahead and nominate this for catch of the year, even though it technically didn’t count.  In today’s game between the Broncos and the Chiefs, Kansas City was trailing 10-0 when Matt Cassel threw a deep ball to rookie wideout Jonathan Baldwin.  With Brian Dawkins draped all over him, Baldwin somehow caught the ball on Dawkins’s back.

It’s one of the best catches I’ve ever seen, but the catch didn’t stand due to offsetting penalties on the play.  Either way, this has to be a nominee for the best catch of the year, even if it technically didn’t count.
