Hope Solo Fan Has Greatest Sign In History
Hope Solo saved the USWNT in their gold medal victory over Japan at the 2012 Summer Olympics. The goalie made some incredible saves, including one late in the match that preserved the victory for the team. Solo played great but the best moment was the sign that one of her fans brought into the game.
“Forget Han! Make Me Mr. Solo” might be one of the best signs in the history of sign making. If you have lived under a rock for the last 30 years or so, Han Solo was the big star of Star Wars. You could argue that although the movies were about the Skywalker clan, everyone loved Solo.
Solo will always have her detractors but there will always be people like this that absolutely love her. It might be a little bit creepy and it might even be a little bit obsessive but it is pretty funny. If you are going to make a sign and bring it to a game, you better have something like this cooked up.
Now we have to wait and see if Hope Solo and the rest of the team repeat their antics from the 2008 Olympics where they all got hammered and then appeared on TV shows. Not exactly the smartest thing to do in the world but it is pretty cool. If any of us ever won a gold medal, I would bet the celebration would last forever. Personally, I would probably party until my kidneys shut down after a win like this.
Maybe this fan will get his wish and meet and marry Hope Solo. The odds are low but at least he can dream. If he can sneak into the Olympic village somehow, his chances might just improve immensely over the next few days.
