Sheryl Crow Gave USADA Information About Lance Armstrong’s Alleged Doping
Presse Sports-US PRESSWIRE

Sheryl Crow and Lance Armstrong were something of a power couple a while back.  However, the engagement eventually ended and the two were never really spoken about in the same sentence.  That has all changed, as the singer was one of the sources in the doping investigation of Armstrong.

Crow, who was once engaged to the tarnished cyclist, provided information last year in a far-reaching federal investigation into the doping programs that fueled her former fiancé’s victorious Tour de France teams.

Federal agents interviewed the Grammy-winning musician in late 2011, just before a grand jury probe into Armstrong and his associates abruptly ended without any criminal charges being handed up

Armstrong keeps denying the claims, but I believe the evidence to be too much against him.  If the feds were able to get something from Sheryl Crow about him, that might be the final dagger.  Some might say she was snitching on him, but you really do not want to lie to government investigators.

Armstrong says that he raced clean and that he never had any doping help.  However, not contesting the stripping of all of his titles is not exactly a good way to prove that.  Some might see it as the high road, while most of us see it as a way of hoping it all goes away.

For a time, it looked like Crow and Armstrong were going to be America’s darling couple.  Now it looks like it was just a footnote in a massive Armstrong scheme
