Joey Logano To Join Penske Racing Next Season
Andrew Weber-US PRESSWIRE

Joey Logano has finally started to show the talent that made him one of the hottest young names in NASCAR.  He has been with Joe Gibbs Racing his entire career, but that will change next season.  Logano is leaving JGR to join Penske Racing to drive the 22 car next season.

This is by far the best season that Joey Logano has had in racing.  Remember, he is just 22 years old.  That seems insane because people have been talking about him since he was 14 years old.  He has always had a lot of pressure on him and that seems to have held back his driving.

This year has been different.  He has one win under his belt and a second win at Richmond on Saturday could push him into the Chase for the Cup.  Even if he does not make the Chase, this is going to be the best season that he has had.

Penske has had a very good season with both cars in their stable.  Even after AJ Allmendinger was dismissed for violating the substance abuse policy, the car has still had some good results.  Adding a guy like Logano to the fold should help the team immensely.  Sounds like a win-win for both parties.

As for the guy that is replacing Logano at JGR, that man will be Matt Kenseth.  He has been the odd man out at Roush this season and he should give JGR another title contender.

The driver moves are only just beginning and there will probably be more in the coming months.
