The fantasy NASCAR season is really picking up speed and it is time for the first race of the year in Bristol. To help you pick your team, here are the top-20 fantasy NASCAR drivers for the 2014 Food City 500.
Stewart has just one top-20 finish in his last four races in Bristol and he has looked like a shell of himself this season.
Allmendinger has cracked the top-26 in three straight races this season.
MTJ has historically struggled at Bristol and his 29th place starting spot won’t help his cause much this week.
Harvick has just one top-10 finish at Bristol in his last 10 trips. He will start back in 27th and will be a very risky pick this week.
Almirola has four top-20 finishes in his last eight races this season.
Biffle has just one top-10 finish on the year. He will start this year in eighth, but he won’t be worth a top-10 pick with his recent string of bad luck.
Newman has eight top-12 finishes in his last 11 races in Bristol. He will be the ultimate sleeper pick this week.
Busch has yet to crack the top-20 this season. Fortunately, he has 11 top-20 appearances in his last 13 trips to Bristol.
McMurray has nine consecutive top-21 finishes in Bristol.
Kenseth will start in third, but considering he may have to leave due to the birth of his daughter, it may be better off to pass on him this week.
Bowyer has four straight top-14 finishes in Tennessee.
Logano will start this race in fourth and should be a shoe in to crack the top-10.
Gordon has three straight top-10 finishes on the year and another top-10 finish seems almost guaranteed given his sixth place starting spot.
Busch has finished inside the top-11 in two consecutive races this year.
Kahne has cracked the top-11 in six of his last seven trips to Bristol. He is also the defending champion of the spring race, so expect him to be one of the most popular options this weekend.
Junior is having a career season and has become a reliable top-five fantasy option.
In his last five races in Bristol, Edwards has three top-10 finishes and two checkered flags.
Johnson has cracked the top-six in three straight races this year.
Hamlin will start on the pole this year and won this race in the summer of 2012. He will be a very popular pick this week in Tennessee.
In his last five trips to Bristol, Keselowski has three top-three finishes and two victories.
