One of the best ways to rack up pitching points in fantasy baseball leagues is to start a pitcher that will make two starts in a given scoring period. It allows a hurler to rack up innings/strikeouts and helps fantasy owners rack up extra points in the process. To help you set your rotation this week, here are 10 of the best two-start options to take advantage of in Week 6 of the fantasy baseball season.

10. Chris Tillman, Baltimore Orioles

Tillman has been a workhorse for Baltimore this season. He has throw 107.8 pitchers per start and has pitched into the eighth inning twice this season. The right-hander has hit a bit of a rough patch (13 ER last 3 GS), but his strikeout numbers have been there. Tillman won’t be an elite two-start option this week, but he will be worth the nod with the extra start.

Week 6 Stats: (5/6 @ TB) (5/11 vs. HOU)

9. Chris Archer, Tampa Bay Rays

Archer has struggled as of late, as he hasn’t made it into the seventh inning in his last four starts. He has only surrendered one long ball, though, and he has consistently been able to keep the ball inside the park. He will obviously surrender some hits this week, but he should be able to be a serviceable SP3 with the extra start this scoring period.

Week 6 Starts: (5/6 vs. BAL) (5/11 vs. CLE)

8. Henderson Alvarez, Miami Marlins

Alvarez is an underrated hurler with two starts this week. Luckily, one of them is against a Mets team that Alvarez has dominated lately. In his last three starts against the Mets, Alvarez has a 2-0 record with a sizzling 1.895 ERA. Even better, his second start this week is against an offensively challenged San Diego team, so fantasy fans can expect two quality starts from Hendo this week.

Week 6 Starts: (5/6 vs. NYM) (5/11 @ SD)

7. Aaron Harang, Atlanta Braves

Harang has been a blessing this fantasy season. The 12-year-veteran has a jaw-dropping 1.07 WHIP to go along with a 2.97 ERA. He has also struck out 37 batters through 36.1 innings. Harang is a must-start this scoring period with the extra trip to the bump.

Week 6 Starts: (5/5 vs. STL) (5/11 vs. CHC)

6. Jon Niese, New York Mets

Despite the lack attention this season, Niese has continued to deal. The southpaw has an incredible 1.04 WHIP to go along with a 2.20 ERA. He has allowed just one earned run in three straight games and averaged 102.3 pitches per start over that stretch. He has two very winnable matchups in Week 6 and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him finish the week 2-0.

Week 6 Starts: (5/5 @ MIA) (5/11 vs. PHI)

5. Nate Eovaldi, Miami Marlins

Eovaldi has quietly matured into a legitimate rotation mate next to Jose Fernandez. Eovaldi has posted a cumulative 0.947 ERA over his last three starts (19 IP) and has continued frustrated opposing hitters. He has two favorable matchups this week and the youngster should be able to rack up the K’s in Week 6.

Week 6 Starts: (5/5 vs. NYM) (5/10 @ SD)

4. Tim Hudson, San Francisco Giants

Hudson is quietly having a resurgent fantasy season. The veteran has a 2.027 ERA over his last three starts and has lasted at least seven innings in each contest. Hudson will get hit a little this week, but expect him to do enough to record two quality starts in Week 6.

Week 6 Starts: (5/6 @ PIT) (5/11 @LAD)

3. Jesse Chavez, Oakland Athletics

Through six starts, Chavez has been absolutely outstanding. The veteran has an unthinkable 1.89 ERA to go along with a 0.95 WHIP. He has even struck out 41 batters through 38 innings of work. The 30-year-old is having a career season and he will likely throw two more gems this week for the A's.

Week 6 Starts: (5/6 vs. SEA) (5/11 vs. WAS)

2. Yordano Ventura, Kansas City Royals

Ventura is one sleeper that has actually panned out this season. He currently owns an impressive 1.50 ERA and the 22-year-old has pitched 13 consecutive scoreless innings. Look for him to rack up the innings/strikeouts this week against the Padres and Mariners.

Week 6 Starts: (5/5 @ SD) (5/10 @ SEA)

1. Clayton Kershaw, Los Angeles Dodgers

Kershaw has been on the shelf for weeks with a back injury, but the 0 million dollar man is expected to make his stateside fantasy debut on Monday. Some have voiced concern over starting him in his first week back, but Kershaw is a must-start anytime he is on the bump. If everything goes according to plan, Kershaw will make another start on Sunday, which only increases his fantasy value in Week 6.
