For any fantasy baseball team, starting the right players is unsurprisingly the key to success. This is especially true in the immensely popular daily leagues, where a single player can mean the difference between a big payday and crushing disappointment. Based on matchups and talent, the following five players could all be in store for an outstanding day on June 27 and deserve your utmost consideration.

The Rays play a doubleheader today, and this recommendation goes for the nightcap. Longoria, who has come alive at the dish of late, will square off against Baltimore Orioles starter Chris Tillman in game two. Tillman has been rather unimpressive this season with a 4.45 ERA and 1.46 WHIP, and Longoria simply loves hitting against the right-hander. In 27 career at bats, he's managed a tidy .407 average with five HRs.

This slugger is having a strong season, but he has really fired up the jets of late. He's batting a cool .359 over his past 10 games and has two HRs and 12 RBIs over that span. Matchups don't come much better for him than they do today either. The A's will face New York Mets starter Anthony DeSclafani this evening, and to go along with his horrid 7.59 ERA, opponents are batting .306 against him to this point.

3. 1B - Freddie Freeman: Atlanta Braves

This left-handed bat hasn't quite lived up to expectations this season, but he's working on it. Over his past 11 games, Freeman has heated up to the tune of a .362 average, and he'll look to keep that momentum going today. He'll face starter Kyle Kendrick this evening, and that should bode well for this 1B. To go along with an unimpressive 4.20 ERA, left-handers are batting a robust .331 against Kendrick in 2014.

2. 2B - Ian Kinsler: Detroit Tigers

Few players can claim to be a hot as this guy right now. Kinsler is batting an absurd .440 over his last 12 games along with three HRs and 11 RBIs over that span. A trip to Houston to face starter Brad Peacock will be in the cards for the 2B today. Peacock hasn't exactly impressed with his 4.50 ERA and 1.53 WHIP this season, and Kinsler has feasted on right-handed pitching this year, as 29 of his 35 extra base hits have come against righties.

Aside from a disastrous game at Coors Field a couple weeks ago, this fireballer has been dominant this season. His 2.41 ERA ranks 7th among all starters in baseball, and he's allowed two earned runs or fewer in 12 of his 16 starts to this point. He'll take on a weak Philadelphia Phillies offense today that ranks 27th in the league in runs per game at home (3.59) and are batting just .237 vs. right-handed pitching on the year.
