UFC Fight Night 32 kicked off tonight in Brazil, featuring a light heavyweight bout between Dan Henderson and Vitor Belfort. On paper, this fight was going to be an explosive match, and this turned out to be true. Henderson would rush Belfort, but Belfort clipped him coming in.

He would follow up with punches, and just as Henderson came up, Belfort clipped him with a high kick, ending Henderson’s night for good. Wow. What an incredible finish for Belfort, who has now finished his last three fights with a sensational head kick. He brings his overall record to 24-10, and he is on a three-fight winning streak. Henderson has never been finished in entire career, so it was amazing to see Belfort do what no fighter had done to date.

This bout was held at light heavyweight, so it makes Belfort an instant contender there, and, he’s more than likely going to be next to challenge for the middleweight title. First, Chris Weidman will look to defend his belt against Anderson Silva, which will be one of the greatest fights in the UFC. Belfort will be next for the winner, which has the makings to be yet another classic bout in the middleweight division.

Tonight, Belfort capped off the night in impressive fashion, and it’s one of Belfort’s biggest wins to date under one of the biggest stages. Congrats to him and Henderson for putting on an exciting show for the fans.
