Pros

Physical Ability: Riley Reiff is one of the most physical offensive tackles in the country.

Durability: Reiff is pretty durable.  He displays great, but not elite top notch durability.

Size: Reiff displays good size for an offensive lineman at 6 foot 6 300 pounds.

Learning Rate: Learns new blocking schemes right away.

Football IQ: Very smart instinctive player.  Reiff is a gym rat who watches a lot of film.

Awareness: Very disciplined offensive tackle from a physical and mental standpoint.

Intangibles: Riley Reiff has top notch pass blocking skills.

Zone Blocking: Riley Reiff is an outstanding zone blocker executing assignments off the snap while using his footwork.

Stonewall Blocker: Reiff is a stonewall blocker who gives quarterback’s extra composure when pass blocking.

Pass Blocking Footwork: Riley Reiff has amazing pass blocking footwork for an offensive tackle.

Run Blocking Footwork: Riley Reiff has outstanding footwork when run blocking.

Can Play Left Tackle: Reiff can play left tackle in the NFL.

Can Play Right Tackle: Reiff can also be an effective pass blocking bookend at the right tackle spot.

Can Play Left Guard: Back in 2009 during his redshirt freshman year, Reiff started at left guard when 2010 draft picks Bryan Bulaga played left tackle while Kyle Calloway played right tackle.

Production: Reiff has the production to translate right away in the NFL.

Potential: Reiff has pro bowl potential.  He may not reach his potential right away.  The potential is there though.

Cons

Left Arm: Riley Reiff has some medical questions when it comes to his left arm.  During a matchup VS Penn State Reiff left the game after injuring his left arm before returning the following week.

Off The Field Issues: In 2008 Reiff had some off the field issues for public intoxication.

My thoughts on Riley Reiff

Reiff has better pass blocking ability than Stanford’s Jonathan Martin.  I like Martin’s character and have less concerns about Martin then I do about Riley Reiff.  I have Reiff graded out as my 14th best player at this point.
