John David Mercer-US PRESSWIRE

The New York Giants have released their injury report for Sunday night’s contest with the Dallas Cowboys, and you won’t find any surprises.

Davis Baas, Osi Umenyiora, Mark Herzlich, and Spencer Paysinger will be out, Kenny Phillips is listed as doubtful (which pretty much puts him out), and Prince Amukamara, Brandon Jacobs, Ahmad Bradshaw, Michael Boley, Dave Tollefson, and Mario Manningham are listed as probable.

Osi Umenyiora has disappeared for the past month and Mitch Petrus provided a spark for the offensive line against the Packers, so to be quite honest those two being out do not worry me.

Kenny Phillips more than likely missing the game is incredibly worrisome—his replacement would be Tyler Sash who is a rookie and has little to no game experience. That doesn’t bode well with the Cowboys and their prolific passing offense.

Deon Grant will slide in to Phillips’ spot and the Giants will have to trust their 4-3 defense more than they have all season long.

Hopefully it comes through—if the Giants lose you can pretty much count them out of the division race.
