All these past two weeks, the New York Giants players have been overly confident about their ability to get the job done Sunday in Super Bowl XLVI, and their coach has no problem with that.

Tom Coughlin doesn’t see any difference in what his players are saying in what Tom Brady told a crowd of 25,000 fans at a pep rally in Gillete Stadium.

“I know there have been one or two quotes out there. But to be honest with you, I don’t know that any one of them have been any different than Tom Brady’s.”

Some have said the Giants are being borderline cocky, but the stuff they have been saying is no different than anything they were saying in the weeks leading up to their three playoff victories.

This is just a team that knows how good it is when they play their best football.

“I think it is just a matter of our team has played good football against great football teams,” Coughlin said. “We always pull for our team. Humble enough to prepare, confident enough to perform. That is the way we look at it.”
