Peyton Manning May Hit the Open Market, But is He Really a Fit for the Jets?

Anyone who's watched football over the last decade knows how great Peyton Manning is. The Indianapolis Colts QB has been one of the great quarterbacks of his generation, and one of the greats of all-time.

However, the harsh reality is that in a "what have you done for me lately" league like the NFL, it doesn't matter what you've done, but what you can do in the future.

By March 8th, the Colts have to decide whether to pay him a $28 million roster bonus or cut him and make him an unrestricted free agent.

It's unlikely any team would trade for him before then, so Manning most likely will hit the open market, and any team in the league would have a shot at him.

The question is, what team would be the best fit for him? I'll offer a few reasons as to why I think New York is not a good a landing spot for the future Hall of Famer.
