TV Schedule: Monday, Sept. 29, 8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
Stadium: Arrowhead Stadium
Line: New England (-3.5)
Coming into this contest, the New England Patriots would be the obvious pick. However, it may not be that simple.
The Patriots haven’t exactly been that great on offense. Sure, the team still has Tom Brady, but he doesn’t exactly have the best weapons in the world. Add in the fact that New England’s rushing game isn’t that great, and you have a team that could struggle on offense once again.
It also doesn’t help that this contest is being played at Arrowhead Stadium, the Kansas City Chiefs‘ home.
Having a solid offense or not, New England has managed to win two games in a row. Minnesota and Oakland aren’t exactly the best teams in the NFL, but after losing to Miami in Week 1, I am sure the Patriots are glad they were able to win both games.
Kansas City captured its first win of the season against Miami in Week 3. In the process, RB Kniles Davis had 132 rushing yards and Alex Smith threw three TDs. The Chiefs need to see production like that all season long if they are going to make the playoffs once again.
Despite the fact that New England hasn’t had the best offense in the league through three games, Brady is due for a big game. As one of the best players to ever play the game, he isn’t going to stay quiet forever. Neither is this Patriots offense.
PREDICTION: Patriots 28, Chiefs 17
