Peyton Manning Closes in on Brett Favre With 500th Passing TD

Peyton Manning is arguably the greatest quarterback to ever grace the gridiron, and anyone who isn’t willing to have that discussion doesn’t know anything about football. On Sunday, during the Denver Broncos’ game against the Arizona Cardinals, Manning took one more step towards being the best NFL quarterback of all time.

During the Broncos’ first drive of the game, Manning connected on a short route with tight end Julius Thomas for his 500th career touchdown pass. With that pass, he became only the second quarterback in NFL history to eclipse the 500 touchdown mark, inching him closer to the current record of 508 held by the legendary Brett Favre.

Manning his spent his entire NFL career breaking records and shredding secondaries. That hasn’t changed, even at age 38, and should continue to be the case as he aims to take the Broncos back to the Super Bowl this season.

Only nine more touchdown tosses and Manning will hold the record for the most career touchdown passes of all time. That glorious day will be here before we know it.
