Week 8 Matchup: Philadelphia Eagles (5-1) vs. Arizona Cardinals (5-1)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 26, 4:05 p.m. ET, FOX
Stadium: U of Phoenix Stadium
Line: Arizona (-2.5)
The Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals are both well on their way to making the playoffs. With that said, it is only Week 8, and there is still a lot of work that needs to be done.
The Eagles enter this one on a two-game winning streak. Technically, they had a bye last week, but still. In their last matchup with the New York Giants, the Eagles managed to win by the score of 27-0. Blanking any team in the NFL is quite the feat. Not to mention, the Giants were pretty hot entering that game.
The Cardinals also enter this one on a two-game winning streak. Neither opponent during that streak will end up making the playoffs, but I am sure Arizona will gladly take the victories. If people haven’t come to terms with the fact that Arizona very well could win the NFC West, they need to start doing so. The Cardinals are at the top of the division. San Francisco may only have one less win, but it also has two more losses.
Regardless, this game could have a playoff-like atmosphere given the fact that both teams could end up in the playoffs. Unfortunately for Philadelphia, home-field advantage means quite a bit in this league. Both teams will hopefully put on quite the show, but expect the Cardinals to come away with the victory.
PREDICTION: Eagles 24, Cardinals 28
