Thursday Night Football is almost upon us and with it comes a battle in the AFC West between the Chiefs and the Raiders. Now don’t get discouraged; this game might actually surprise you in terms of its level of play. Here are five bold predictions for this divisional battle.

Charles is coming off his best game of the season where he rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns. And all of this was against a Seahawks defense ranked seventh in the league against the run. Now Charles faces an Oakland defense ranked 27th against the run. Charles will end the game with around 175 yards and two touchdowns.

Last week against the Chargers, Mack recorded his first sack of his stellar rookie campaign. Now he’s gotten a taste for sacks and he wants more! Lucky for him he’s going up against a Chiefs offensive line that’s sixth in the league for giving up sacks, surrendering roughly 2.5 per game.

Unlike Mack, Houston has plenty of sacks already on the season, leading the league with 12. On Thursday Night television, Houston will do his best J.J. Watt impression and fill the stat sheet like you wouldn’t believe. He’ll finish the game with two sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and, the highlight of the night, a safety.

The Thursday Night lineup has been bad this season, but this week, it’ll finally be what we all want: a good football battle. Despite their 0-10 record, the Raiders rarely have been completely blown out this season and playing against a divisional opponent will only get their blood pumping more. It’ll be the exciting football game we’ve always wanted.

Carr will finally have his chance to led his team to victory. Late in the fourth quarter he’ll piece together a drive that would make Tom Brady or Peyton Manning salivate. He will hit James Jones for the late, go-ahead touchdown. The crowd will go wild! Then the Chiefs will easily drive down and win the game. But at least the Raiders were close.
