UCLA Bruins WR Jordan Payton Is Looking For His UCLA Girl
LOS ANGELES — 2011 was an interesting yet maturing time for then highly recruited Oaks Christian High School wide receiver Jordan Payton. Beginning early with USC and Pete Carroll Payton made a verbal commitment to the Trojans before the NCAA handed down the scholarship and bowl ban. Once Carroll left it became Tosh Lupoi and Cal that Payton would commit to.
Then Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian plunked Lupoi and Cal’s offensive coordinator Eric Kiesau away from Berkeley and up to Seattle. That was after Payton committed to Cal at the U.S Army All-American game. With one day left until national letter of intent day Payton would go on ESPNU and verbally commit to Washington.
Just 24 hours later after a long phone call with Jim Mora Jr. UCLA’s new head coach Payton faxed in his letter of intent and decided to stay home, just about an hour drive away. Through a world-wind recruiting process which was confusing to say the least, Payton decided in his heart to stay close to home.
Now it’s that time of year in California where the calendar starts to look warmer and warmer as summer approaches. According to Payton it’s girlfriend season and he’s looking for his “UCLA” also known as the right girl.

Payton set a Friday deadline to find his dream girl, which might or might not be met. However in the grand scheme of things I’m sure he wouldn’t mind giving up a couple extra days or weeks to find the right girl.
Ladies, he’s a heck of a catch and he’s got great hands. While Payton might not have the worlds best commitment record no ones perfect. He committed to the place were his heart belongs. Now he’s trying to find the girl that belongs with him.
