You got to love being a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.  Only Andy Reid, the rest of the coaching staff and the players can deliver back to back gems fans can share with one another.  Let us get together, commiserate and toast to a fun filled Sunday afternoon.

If Eagles fans thought last Sunday night’s loss against the Atlanta Falcons was tough, well, welcome to the bizarro world that is Andy Reid……Eagles lose in home opener to the Giants 29-16 after being nine point favorites.  Hey, it’s fun.  We get to be negative.  That is what we do in Philadelphia, right?

It is like your reading a new book each week that ends the same way.  The story is similar, but different, yet you know the conclusion.  Or, it is like watching an old Gilligan’s Island episode.  Guess what?  They never get off the island.

All kidding aside, this game was as bad as it gets.

The Eagles dominated the game on the stat sheet.  They had more total yards:  376 to 334.  They had more first downs:  25 to 14.  They dominated time of possession:  36:51 to 23:09.  And, of course, they had more turnovers:  3 to 0.  Do you get the picture?

The Eagles moved the ball easily against the Giants setting up first and goals.  Then, coach Andy Reid and offensive coordinator, Marty Mornhinweg, out smart themselves.  Does that sound familiar?

After doing a solid job against the Giants run, the linebackers manage to take themselves totally out of one play.  A nail in the coffin play.  A scamper that deflates the team.  Wait, I thought I saw that last week?

It goes on and on and on…..Many times, I am actually thinking, “there must be something better on.”  Where is my remote?
