Pittsburgh Penguins Captain, Sidney Crosby, at the Kentucky Derby
It looks like Pittsburgh Penguins captain, Sidney Crosby, is finally over the early elimnation from Round 1 of the 2012 NHL playoffs by the Philadelphia Flyers (who even had a bar name a new beer for the occasion). I’m glad someone is.
He was spotted yesterday at the 138th Kentucky Derby in Louisville, Kentucky at Churchill Downs (a horse named “I’ll Have Another” earned the win; he got his name because it’s the answer his owner, J. Paul Reddam, gives to his wife when she asks if he wants a cookie). The people of NBC Sports Network were the first to spot the star center.
What I want to know is whether or not he placed a bet and if it was on “I’ll Have Another.”
But all the buzz wasn’t about Crosby being at Churchill Downs, but rather about his suit pants and those teeny, tiny little pockets. He is seen in several photos trying hard to look casual with his hands in those pockets, just barely getting them past his knuckles – just a tad bit awkward, but he can still pull it off. I think someone forgot to tell the seamstress that the pants were for Crosby and that Sidney can also be a guy’s name. But, as you can see from all the pics, small pockets or not he can still attract the pretty ladies.
Crosby isn’t the only hockey-related person who’s interested in the derby. His former Penguins coach, Eddie Olczyk, gave his opinion as a “Horse Racing analyst” to Chicago Tribune Live yesterday.
