Vince Edwards is a high level basketball recruit and he is down to two schools. It will be a Big 10 battle for the talented young player.
“Michigan and Purdue are definitely recruiting me the hardest,” Edwards said to Rivals. “Those schools, both head coaches are telling me they pretty much recruit the same guys. They’re the schools that are recruiting me the hardest ? They contact me every day they can.”
Edwards is a fan of both programs; predictably there are things he likes better about each one. Something tells me Jalen Rose will have something to say here before it is all said and done. It appears as though the Wolverines might have the inside edge to start though.
“I like both,” Edwards said. “Honestly, I like Michigan because I really think their offense fits my style. Being a 6-7 wing who can shoot, that really fits in with Coach Beilein. He likes guys who can do that, so I think I can really fit in well with him and his offense and he thinks so, too.”
Edwards thinks that Coach Painter on the other side does a superb job of developing players, so basically it comes down to whether he wants to look good in a system or develop more as a player. That is quite a dilemma to be in, but when there are any updates be sure to check on Rant Sports Prep.
