Jabari Parker Aims To Win More College National Championships Than Derrick Rose

Jabari Parker

Jabari Parker made a goal before his high school basketball career started. He wanted to win four straight state championships. That is a pretty amazing goal for a fourteen year old kid to have and that in itself is to be commended. The fact that he actually accomplished that kind of boggles my mind.

Parker was following in the footsteps of Derrick Rose at Simeon Academy (Chicago, IL) and so Parker had some big shoes to fill in high school. Rose had won two state titles with the Wolverines. Parker was thinking just a bit bigger though.

It is actually almost a scientific accomplishment because it shows that your goals can become a reality if you focus hard enough. Although it probables also helps to be Six foot eight and built like a tank.

Parker will now embark on his college basketball career where he will no doubt try to exceed Rose’s total again. Granted Rose did not win a championship although he came darn close and were it not for Mario Chalmers then it might be a different story, which is kind of hilarious to look at as I write it.

Parker will most likely get drafted next summer so he may only have one year to surpass Rose, but I think he can do it.
