This is exactly why TNA can not compete with the WWE. Who cares that Jeff Hardy is returning? I would maybe be excited if it was 2002 and the Hardy Boyz were taking on Edge and Christian. Now that it’s 2011 and Jeff Hardy returning as a singles competitor who will take a run at the belt makes me not care at all.

I used to love Jeff Hardy. He was one of my all time favorites. I loved him because there was no wrestler that put his body on the line more to give the fans a great match. I was happy for him when the WWE gave him a run as the champ. He even had one of my favorite matches vs Taker. Jeff had put in his time and bumps and deserved the run. The problem with TNA is that Jeff will step in as one of the top competitors for the belt and remain in that spot. Jeff just isn’t good enough to carry a roster as your champ or contender for the belt. Being a contender means that you will be in the main event many times throughout the year. Hardy just isn’t s main event kind of guy unless its for only a couple dates here and there throughout the season. The WWE realized this and got rid of him but TNA just can’t figure this out, which is why I guess Bully Ray is still up there as well.

Jeff has decent skills in the ring but has very little power and has lost a step athletically, which isn’t a knock against Jeff. That happens to every star as they age. The problem is when you are high flyer losing that step really hurts. All this might be acceptable if Hardy was great on the mic but alas he is really bad. He always sounds like he reading off a cue card.

TNA do yourself a favor and stop it with trying to push all this has been talent and start using your younger/more talented wrestlers.

One Rant to “Jeff Hardy Returns to TNA on Thursday Night”

  1. WrestlingTube says:

It is good news for all Jeff Hardy’s wrestling fans. After several months, he is going to appear in TNA’s Thursday night Impact wrestling event. Kurt Angle’s arrest issue could be reason for his return to go to top of the TNA brand. Anyway, without Jeff Hardy’s extreme treat we cannot taste a little bit of prowrestling. I see you, Hardy Boy at Impact Wrestling Zone.
