WWE WrestleMania XXX isn’t until next year, but company officials are already discussing plans for one of the main events that will be on the PPV. There is a strong possibility that Brock Lesnar will face The Undertaker.

Before WrestleMania 29, The Rock actually wanted to face Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX. This would have been a huge match since Rock is a huge Hollywood star and Lesnar is a former UFC Champion. The two previously fought in a highly entertaining match at SummerSlam 2002, but Lesnar was still a rookie at the time. The match itself was great, but it didn’t receive as much media attention. A match between the two stars now would receive a ton of media and fan attention.

Unfortunately, Rock got injured at WrestleMania 29 during his match with John Cena. The injury must have hurt Rock’s pride more than his body as it sounds like he’s retired from wrestling forever (again). During media interviews for Fast and Furious 6, Rock has said numerous times that WrestleMania 29 was his last ever match. He also mentioned that it was the perfect way to bow out and he was proud to let Cena beat him this time. Vince McMahon is hoping Rock will return to face Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX, but this all depends on Rock’s decision. At this stage, it’s looking unlikely.

Lesnar will then just have to face Undertaker instead. Undertaker did mention previously he’d like to face either Lesnar or Cena at WrestleMania XXX, and Lesnar is a good choice considering the two were scheduled to face off at WrestleMania 27. The only reason that match was called off was because Lesnar was still in the UFC at the time and Dana White refused for him to compete in a WWE PPV.
