CM Punk isn't coming back to WWE any time soon. In fact, there's a good chance he's gone from the company for good. Here are five reasons why.

5. The Schedule

5. The Schedule

Ask any WWE performer about their least favorite aspect of the job, and nine times out of 10 they'll tell you it's the schedule. These guys are on the road more than 300 days a year. It's even worse if you're a top guy like Punk or John Cena, who have to balance wrestling with an outrageous number of personal appearances. Ending his days as a 24/7 traveler was a major reason for Punk's departure.

4. Physical Toll

Wrestling is a physically punishing profession. Punk was an active wrestler for close to 15 years, and you can bet your bottom dollar his body is feeling the effects. His hard-nosed and oftentimes high-flying style didn't help matters either, but it's part of what made him a great performer. Still, your body can only handle so much, and Punk probably felt like he just didn't have it in him anymore.

3. Age

At 35 years old, CM Punk was winding down his career. He was always persistent that he didn't want to wrestle into his 40s like so many other grapplers, and instead was happy to end his career before his body became a constant source of agony. He also seems to think that watching older guys wrestle is depressing. That really depends on the performer in question, but he's definitely not wrong.

2. Personal Conflicts

It's no secret that Punk and Triple H don't see eye to eye. Punk was originally slated for a WrestleMania program with "the Game," but Punk wasn't too keen on the idea. There is probably bad blood dating back to their kayfabe feud in 2011 that also involved Kevin Nash. Things didn't go as planned. Let's just say Punk never got his win back against Triple H, nor did he get revenge on Nash for costing him the title at SummerSlam.

1. Money

The biggest reason why Punk is gone for good? Money. Punk has saved up enough that he doesn't need to worry for the rest of his life. For Punk, wrestling just isn't worth the effort. Considering all the stuff he had to go through on a daily basis, it's hard to blame the guy.
