Seahawks Used Skype to Show Tom Cable Practices While He Recovered From Back Surgery
Seattle Seahawks offensive line coach Tom Cable underwent back surgery at the last second on Monday and missed practice this week before returning on Friday. While he was unable to attend practice in person, Cable made the most of his absence by being there for his team another way–Skype.
According to Gregg Rosenthal of ProFootballTalk.com, Cable spent the last two days watching practice via Skype as his team prepares for this weekend’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll also tweeted about Cable’s return to practice on Friday and even displayed a picture of what appears to be a member of the staff using Skype this week to show Cable what’s been going on in practice.
Cable is in his first season as the offensive line coach for the Seahawks after spending the previous four seasons with the Oakland Raiders. Seattle looks to get to .500 this weekend and pick up their second-straight win as they host Atlanta on Sunday.
