Rant-O-Matic: Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers, Rutgers vs. South Florida

Here’s the latest edition of Rant-O-Matic for September 13, 2012.

Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers

One of the most highly anticipated matchups for Week 2, the Bears and Packers square-off in this key NFC North matchup.

Last week, Chicago displayed one of the most impressive offenses as Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall picked up right where they left off when they were teammates a few years ago as members of the Denver Broncos. With a weak passing defense like the Packers, expect Cutler to target Marshall even more than he did in Week 1.

As for Green Bay, the last thing they want to do is start off 2012 with an 0-2 record after they struggled against the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday. What makes things even more difficult for the Packers is top wideout Greg Jennings is a game-time decision—which the Bears would love to take advantage of.

Rutgers Scarlet Knights vs. South Florida Bulls

In a surprise key Big East matchup, Rutgers looks to pick up their sixth win in seven games against South Florida as the 2-0 teams square off against each other on Thursday night.

Both teams seem capable of being crowed champions of the Big East in 2012, but Rutgers will need to figure out a way to contain Andre Davis if they have any shot of improving to 3-0. The wideout came up big for South Florida last weekend against Nevada after catching 12 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns.

Either way—this should be an exciting matchup to watch for just about any college football fan.
