The Auburn Tigers went from the day’s biggest choke artists to BCS Title contenders in just a matter of seconds in Week 12.
Courtesy of a “Hail Mary” toss by Nick Marshall with 33 seconds left, Auburn was able to skate past the Georgia Bulldogs and improve to 10-1. Now, Gus Malzahn‘s group will enjoy a bye week and prepare for the biggest game of the college football season thus far.
The Iron Bowl is just two weeks away and this year the winner of the clash of Alabama is going to be rewarded with more than just bragging rights.
The Alabama Crimson Tide will head to Jordan-Hare Stadium in what will be a match-up of two SEC powerhouses. If ‘Bama pulls out the road win like most are expecting, then the Crimson Tide are guaranteed a trip to the BCS Title game. However, if Auburn wins then the Tigers will leapfrog the Tide in the SEC West — ruining Bama’s shot at a National Championship.
If you only watch one college football game for the rest of the season; make sure it’s this year’s Iron Bowl, because this one is going to be a classic.
