After Ronnie Brown signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, it looks like the Miami Dolphins will now be without both of their top running backs from last season after Ricky Williams agreed to join the Baltimore Ravens on Monday.

According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, the Ravens signed Williams to a two-year deal worth $4 million. Williams will serve as the backup to Ray Rice since Willis McGahee (Denver Broncos) and Le’Ron McClain (Kansas City Chiefs) are no longer with Baltimore.

Once considered one of the top running backs in the NFL, Williams is clearly nowhere near to being as effective of a running back as he used to be–but could make a nice fit with the Ravens. Not only did he rush for 673 yards last season, but he was the Dolphins leading rusher in 2009 with 1,121 yards to go along with 11 touchdowns.

One Rant to “Ravens Sign RB Ricky Williams to Two-Year Deal”

  1. FromThisSeat.com says:

Ricky can still run, but I’m surprised he has stuck around the league this long with his off the field antics.
