Evan Longoria Just Might Have Magical Powers

Evan Longoria is one of the best young talents in baseball. His two home runs on Wednesday helped propel the Tampa Bay Rays into the playoffs. That is magical in itself. Thanks to NBC Sports, however, we may have more proof that Longoria is a magical being. In the video below, Longoria is shown catching a line drive barehanded. That is difficult in itself, but he also saved a reporter from being hit in the face.
Is this video real? Absolutely not. It was a marketing campaign by Gillette to promote their Young Gun series. Then again, after Wednesday’s performance, Longoria saving a reporter with a bare handed catch might not be so out of this world.
