The SWAC isn’t exactly a basketball hotbed, but don’t tell Savalace Townsend that. The Arkansas-Pine Bluff just shoved his way into the dunk of the year contest with this poster over some poor Grambling State player.
Even Kevin Durant can’t argue this one. Townsend threw this one down with authority. It wasn’t the throw-in like Blake Griffin over Kendrick Perkins was. I’m going to slide this into third place for best overall dunk of the year. Blake stays first, Townsend gets second, and LeBron treating John Lucas like a hurdle fits into third.
Quite a year we’ve had and it’s only February.
