Video: Campus Reaction To Norfolk State Beating Missouri
Before Lehigh, there was Norfolk State. The 15 seeded Spartans took out the two seeded Missouri Tigers 86-84 in the best game of the NCAA Tournament so far.
Norfolk State held a watch party on campus for the game and the video is just awesome. The pure joy of these kids is are awesome to watch. It was such a long shot that they would win.
There are just over 6000 students on campus, which means fielding a competitive basketball team is much more difficult. It didn’t stop them as the players and fans look like they are ready for a long tournament run.
As a student at a power conference school, I won’t get to experience the true underdog mentality that these students did. The thrill of being the fifth 15 seed to ever win a tournament game is a memory that they will have forever.
