Rover Lands on Mars? McKayla Maroney is Not Impressed
When gymnast McKayla Maroney failed to land her second vault in Olympic vault finals, she stunned the world. The reigning world vault champion took second to Romania’s Sandra Izbasa, and the look on her face on the podium said it all: she was thoroughly unimpressed.
But when photographers captured the look on Maroney’s face, they had no idea that the picture would take the internet by storm and become it’s own Tumblr page: McKayla Maroney is Not Impressed.
The creator takes the image of Maroney looking oh-so-unimpressed, and puts her in front of other images, such as the reaction as a rover lands on Mars, the Magic Mike stars, a butter cow, and Ryan Lochte. Long story short: The spit-fire Maroney is not impressed by anything.
The Tumblr has over 1,200 followers in just two days, and the creator, 28 year-old Gavin Alaoen, says it will be a short-lived thing.
“It’s just a two-or-three-week kind of thing,” Alaoen said. “It’s a hot topic right now. And then it’s onto the next one.”
The sassy member of the “fierce five” was recently spotted teaching Jenna Bush how to Dougie, commanding Bush to “get up” in the video. When Maroney tells you to do something, you do it. I’m sure Maroney was unimpressed with Bush’s ability to dougie.
The best part of the whole thing, is that Maroney acted the same way when she found out about the Tumblr: unimpressed.
She tweeted a link and wrote, “This tumblr is kinda funny, made me laugh.”
There you have it: It’s just “kinda” funny…we think Maroney is NOT impressed.
