Braden Childers Hits Deer During Rally Race And Continues On
Braden Childers and the deer that guest stars in this video are both extremely lucky. Childers was nearing the finish of a rally race on his motorcycle when a friendly deer jumped right in front of him and took him out. Both parties were fine, as Childers finished the race and the deer ran off into the woods.
Judging by the video, it looks like Childers was still slowing up as he can off the corner, so this was not as bad as it could have been. That being said, this is still extremely scary to watch. If Childers was going full speed during the race, it would have been an absolute mess for him and the deer.
I am honestly surprised that we do not see more instances of deer related things happening during rally races. The animals are at perfect liberty to cross the road. It is shocking that more of them do not get scared and make a mad dash across the highway and right into somebody.
Another amazing part of this video is the fact that it was captured at all. Childers had his helmet cam on, which might be required. I’m not sure, I’m not a rally racer. If he was required to have it on, that takes away from this a little bit, but it is still fairly awesome.
Braden Childers should get some good publicity from this for a little bit. It is not often that you hit a deer during a race and then continue on.
