Michael Orozco Fiscal Goal Gives USA A 1-0 Victory Over Mexico For First Time In Azteca
MLS Soccer

Michael Orozco Fiscal may not be known to a lot a of soccer fans but he was the lone goal scorer in a USA 1-0 victory over Mexico.  It marked the first time that the USMNT defeated Mexico down in Mexico.  Fiscal may have been the man who put the ball in the net, but Brek Shea was the man who caused it all.

Michael Orozco Fiscal will be known for a long time after his play.  This is the first time in HISTORY that the USA has gone into Mexico and came out in top.  He was in the right place at the right time, thanks to the great play by Shea.  Shea came in late and started to leave his imprint on the game.  He was moving the ball and getting the ball on net.  That is what you have to do to get ahead.

It looked like this was going to be a Mexico victory but the young US squad held on for dear life most of the game.  They were not playing their top squad but they did a great job of keeping Mexico off the board.  Tim Howard had a couple of huge saves for the squad in order to keep the Mexico front from scoring.

This is a big win for USA soccer, even if it is only a friendly.  It shows that they can hang with the big boys in soccer if they play a good game.  The USMNT tends to shoot themselves in the foot from time to time but this was a well played game on their end.  Thanks to some big plays from some unlikely sources, they were able to make history.  No one expected the US to get their first win in Mexico during this friendly, but it will forever be in the history books.
