Yikes. Didn’t see that coming.

According to TMZ, Scottie Pippen is being investigated by police after an alleged assault happened last night. Law enforcement sources have told the network that Pippen has just been interviewed regarding the investigation. Police have decided against arresting Pippen for now after speaking with him.

Pippen was supposedly at Nobu restaurant in Malibu last night and outside the entrance he was approached by an autograph seeker. According to reports, Pippen engaged in a fist fight with the man and wound up knocking him out. The man was said to have been punched and kicked repeatedly.

Following the beating, Pippen apparently left the scene. The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Broken teeth, swollen mouth, head and back injuries were all reported with the victim. Pippen was named as a suspect for “a felony charge of assault with intent to commit great bodily injury.”

The investigation is ongoing as we speak, and again, no arrests have been made.

For the time being, Pippen appears to have his reputation with the Chicago Bulls organization in jeopardy. He has been a beloved part of the team for quite some time, both as a player and now as a senior advisor to management. This incident would surely put a damper on his outlook with the team.

As of right now, these reports have not been officially confirmed quite yet. The story is still being straightened out, but what appears to be a fact is that Pippen is being investigated. How exactly last night played out, however, still remains to be set in stone. I am sure we will provide as much detail on the situation as soon as it is confirmed.
