The man who took more heat from the Dallas media than any player in history is reaching out to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. Following the Cowboys’ 34-30 loss to the Detroit Lions, Dallas Mavericks power forward Dirk Nowitzki tweeted support for Romo on Monday. The Cowboys’ passer threw three interceptions in his team’s worst collapse in franchise history; Dallas blew a 24-point lead. Nowitzki has comforting words for Romo that no other person can understand.
Indeed, Nowitzki heard it from the Dallas media for 13 years until he finally won an NBA championship in June. Before the start of the season, it was rumored Nowitzki might even leave the Mavericks; he was a free agent last offseason. The German native is a huge fan of the Cowboys, Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars.
Nowitzki’s tweet was retweeted by over 100 other Twitter users in less than four hours, proving the Dallas faithful still believe in Romo, even if he no longer believes in himself.
