The Denver Broncos may have been 8-8 last year under Tim Tebow, but with Peyton Manning under center the schedule wont be as favorable as it was last season. I do agree that with Manning the Broncos will improve as a whole, but to improve from the 8-8 record may be difficult.

I’m not saying that Tebow wasn’t good for the Broncos, I’m just pointing out that Manning is a proven veteran that is in the conversation of best all time quarterbacks. Tebow will keep improving and maybe one day we can compare Tebow and Manning more closely.

The Broncos have games against 7 teams that made the playoffs last year with 6 of those contests happening in the first 8 games.

Which include a home opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, September 9th, in the first Sunday Night Game of the season. John Fox will return to Carolina where he coached for 9 years and the New England Patriots also appear on the schedule.

The Broncos end up with 5 prime-time games including 2 showings on Monday Night Football as well as another Sunday night game on NBC and a Thursday night game on The NFL Network, which are all indicated by an asterisks.

After looking over this schedule I would have to give the Broncos a 9 on a scale from 1-10 for schedule strength. The only thing keeping me from rating this a 10 is that their division is not real strong. The Broncos get the Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, and San Diego Chargers who were all worse last season than the 8-8 Broncos.

I’m sticking with a prediction I made a month or so ago and I am going with a 9-7 or a 10-6 record for the Broncos. If they manage the 10-6 record I believe they will win their division and make the playoffs if they fall to a 9-7 record I am afraid they will miss their chance.
