Fantasy Golf Rankings for the Wyndham Championship
Bob Donnan-USPRESSWIRE

The big names on the tour may be resting following a grueling PGA Championship last weekend, but there are still some big names worth mentioning for the Wyndham Championship.  Below are my top fantasy golf picks for the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield this weekend:

1. Carl Pettersson – Pettersson tied the course record in 2008 by shooting a phenomenal 61, and last year at Wyndham Pettersson finished tied for fourth place.  He will be the heavy favorite this weekend.

2. Webb Simpson – Simpson missed the final cut last weekend, but the kid is still having a career season.  Simpson is one of the best green-players on the tour,  so expect him to have a great round on the beautiful greens at Sedgefield.

3. Brandt Snedeker – Snedeker won the event in 2007 and showed at the British Open that he is capable of getting out to a big lead.

4. Bill Haas – Haas has not finished inside the top-20 since winning the Northern Trust Open, but he has looked much more confident over the last couple weeks.  Look for him to rebound big this weekend in the limited field.

5. Charl Schwartzel – Schwartzel is consistently undervalued, despite finishing in the top-10 in 2 of his 12 stateside appearances this year.

6. Nick Watney - Watney is beginning to look the golfer he was in the start of the year.  Not counting his missed cut at the PGA Championship last weekend, Watney has five consecutive finishes inside the top-25.

7. Jason Dufner – Dufner is averaging a very respectable 70 strokes per round this year.

8. Davis Love III – DL3 won the event twice (1992 and 2006) throughout his career, and his past success at the course will make him a great value pick this weekend.

9.  Sergio Garcia – Garcia was a late addition to the field and the veteran is as experienced as they come at Sedgefield.

10. Spencer Levin – Levin has cooled off in the hot summer months, but finished third in the Reno-Tahoe Open in the beginning of the month.
