Predicting the Final Score of Redskins vs. Cardinals In Week 6

The Washington Redskins are a couple losses away from this being a lost season for them, and things will not get much easier against the Arizona Cardinals.

This might be the Redskins’ best shot at turning their year around, but it does not bode well for them that they are on the road.

The one thing in D.C.’s favor is the Cardinals’ quarterback situation, because it is kind of up in the air. Carson Palmer was injured in Week 1, Drew Stanton has not finished the concussion protocol after being hurt last week, and they might have to throw rookie Logan Thomas into the fire as a result.

Palmer will do his best to be ready on Sunday, however, I just do not think he would be effective given the severity– it is a nerve issue– of his injury. For the QB’s own health, it is probably better if Thomas gets the nod on Sunday.

You can expect DeSean Jackson and the Redskins to continue moving the ball well through the air; they rank in the league’s top five with 288.8 passing yards per game, but it still might not be enough. That statistic is a deceptive one, because it means they are not getting things done with Alfred Morris on the ground. If they want to win, the running game needs to get going and it just does not seem likely to happen against the Cardinals’ blitzing packages.

Arizona will definitely struggle to score points in this affair, but I could definitely see a pick-six happening due to Kirk Cousins rushing his decisions. The ‘Skins should be playing from behind for almost all of this game, and it will end in a loss. Don’t think they will be laughing afterwards this time.

Final Prediction: Cardinals 21, Redskins 20.
